Where are we going?
	This years 2012 AGM venue is close to the famous "Route M6" (with apologies to the writers of "Route 66"!) although there are many other roads close to our venue including the M6 toll road, the M54, A51, A5 and A34 - so you can get there by any number of alternative routes. Just have a look at the map links below.

The 2012 AGM takes place on the weekend of 19th - 20th May at the Mercure Stafford South, Hatherton House Hotel, Pinfold Lane, Penkridge Stafford ST19 5QP. For our 34th AGM we are heading to the South Staffordshire area which is a newly visited area for the Club. We will be taking time to visit a local renowned venue for FREE on Saturday as well as having our formal Annual General Meeting. If you cannot make the main day (Saturday) we will still be delighted to see you at some point over the weekend.		The Mercure Stafford South, Hatherton House Hotel, Penkridge.
So what's it all about then....? Well this is our flagship event of the year. The big Honda Weekend for Classic Honda Cars, but most of all, a chance to meet and relax in the company of like minded enthusiasts. This event is the highlight of many a Club Members year - come and see what it is all about for yourself. We especially want to see you and your car. Don't worry if it's not in great condition - we are not that kind of Club! We want to talk to all our members and help you with your car - after all - that is what the Club was set up for. We will be especially delighted to welcome your long suffering partner - and at these hotel prices it makes sense to bring them along for a break. Rest assured this isn't a 'Petrolhead' exclusive weekend but the chance for like minded Club members to meet up socially and enjoy a natter.

The Weekend Itinerary.
Friday A fair number of us will be keen to make a long weekend of it and will be having a meal (and I guess a few drinks) at the hotel on the Friday night. Why not arrive early (mid-day) and avoid the Friday traffic and take advantage of the hotel facilities which include a gym and small swimming pool included in the discount price! Please aim to have a full petrol tank on arrival ....		A typical Hotel bedroom.

The AGM function room.		Saturday. We meet from about 10.00am for Tea/Coffee which will be served in our function room (which is reserved for our exclusive use all day) followed by the formal Annual General Meeting at 10.30am. After the meeting we will be heading off on a simple route to our chosen venue - entry is FREE for Club members and guests. There will be plenty of time to look around as well as view our Honda car collection parked outside in our exclusive area to judge the annual Concours, plus of course catch up with all your friends in the Club. Towards the end of the afternoon we will start to make our way back to the hotel.

The evenings bragging rights continue...		Saturday Evening. After changing* for dinner we will meet at 7.00ish for pre-dinner drinks before: The Annual Dinner at 7.30pm, which will then be followed by the Presentation of Awards including the awards for the Annual Concours event, Furthest Travelled Car and Member and other spot prizes! The dinner cost this year is yet to be decided. Afterwards there will be the Prize Raffle which is usually raises a significant amount for Club funds. ANY DONATIONS FOR THE RAFFLE WILL BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED (Car consumables and bottles of wine etc seem to go down best). (* As a guide - the dress code is informal - some gents wear a jacket and a tie but 'smart' is all we ask)

Sunday. This will no doubt be a leisurely affair after the night before(!) with an informal layout to the day to reflect that some members may need to leave early depending upon their journey times and other commitments. After breakfast we will set off on a scenic jaunt to a nearby village pub or other venue before saying our goodbyes. In recent years some member have found it useful to combine the AGM with a visit to adjoining parts of the country. Why not stay over a third night or travel onwards on Sunday afternoon to nearby areas such as Shropshire or Wales?
I hope you will be able to join us in some capacity during the weekend and hopefully you will be able to stop over with the rest of us at the hotel. We promise to make all newcomers especially welcome. We look forward to seeing you and your car over the course of the weekend at our most important event of the year.

The Hotel details.
The venue for the AGM and Social Weekend is the splendid Mercure Stafford South, Hatherton House Hotel, Pinfold Lane, Penkridge, Stafford ST19 5QP. Some photos of the Hotel and its facilities are shown on this page so that you can get a feel for the excellent facilities on offer. The Mercure Stafford South Hotel is a well regarded Hotel located on the edge of the village of Penkridge and on the doorstep of the magnificent Staffordshire countryside. It is also close to Penkridge rail station so even if your car is off the road you can still easily join us.

The Important Business Bit! Remember that the formal Annual General Meeting is at 10.30 AM on Saturday 19th May 2012. The Agenda will be available shortly before this date. If you have any items you wish to raise please address these to the Chairman in the first instance.

The Accommodation Rates
We have negotiated some really excellent rates for this wonderful hotel as follows:- Single room (B&B): £60 each night. Double room (B&B): £60 each night (in other words £30 B&B each! - a good reason to bring your long suffering better half!!) The cost of dinner on the Saturday night will be decided soon but shouldn't exceed £20. Non resident members are very welcome to attend the Saturday Annual Dinner but must please book dinner beforehand so that we know the additional numbers are required.

As you can appreciate, these rates are very attractive so we recommend you book as soon as possible. The Hotel cannot hold the rooms indefinitely and as this is a popular venue we will come under pressure later to release rooms not booked by Club members.
