This
years Club AGM takes place over the weekend of 14th - 15th June at the
Bell Hotel, Thetford, Norfolk.
For our 30th AGM we
are heading Eastwards into the glorious Norfolk countryside to a
location used for much of the filming of the classic TV comedy series
Dads Army.
If you cannot make
the main day (Saturday) we will still be delighted to see you at some
point over the weekend.

| The
Weekend Itinerary. |
The weekends activities are being
finalised and we can promise you a mix of driving, making merry and
visiting local venues. You might remember that Thetford was the location
for much of the famous 'Dads Army' TV comedy programme. In fact many of
the cast members stayed at The Bell Hotel!

Friday
A fair number of us will be keen to make a
long weekend of it and will be having a meal (and I guess a few drinks)
at the hotel on the Friday night.
Why not arrive early (mid-day) and make
full use of the hotel and its surroundings whilst also avoiding the
Friday rush hour traffic....
Please aim to have a full petrol tank
on arrival .... |

Saturday.
We meet from about 10.00 for Coffee with the formal Annual General
Meeting being at 10.30am.
After the AGM we will be leaving the hotel
(about 11.30am) for a scenic run to a local place of interest.
There
we will have plenty of time to view the cars and judge the annual Concours,
plus of course catch up on all the "Hondachat".
In the late afternoon we will start to make our way back to the hotel.

7.30ish for pre-dinner drinks before:
Annual Dinner at 8.00, which will then be
followed by the Presentation of Awards and a Prize Raffle.
ANY DONATIONS FOR THE RAFFLE WILL

Sunday.
This will no doubt be a leisurely affair after the night before(!) with
an informal layout to the day to reflect that some members may need to
leave early depending upon their journey times and other commitments.
After breakfast (and no doubt much continued talk about the cars!) we
will set off on a scenic jaunt for lunch.
|
|
I hope you will be able to join us in some
capacity during the weekend and hopefully you will be able to stop over
with the rest of us at the hotel.
We promise to make all newcomers
especially welcome.
We look forward to seeing you and
your car over the course of the weekend at our most important event of
the year.

The
Important Business Bit!
Remember that the formal Annual
General Meeting is at 10.30 AM on Saturday 14th June 2008.
The Agenda will be published shortly
before this date. If you have any items you wish to raise please address
these to the Chairman in the first instance.

|
| The
Accommodation Rates |
We have negotiated some really excellent
rates for this wonderful historic hotel as follows:-
The room rate is £60 per double room
and £50 per single room B&B per night. Dinner on the Saturday
night will be around £20 per head (subject to final menu
selection).
At these prices we hope you will all be
staying at the hotel as a local B&B will not undercut our
preferential rates by any great margin.
Non resident members are very welcome to
attend the Saturday Annual Dinner but must please book dinner beforehand
so that we know if any additional numbers are erequired.
